From 30 October 2025 – 1 February 2026, The Keelung Museum of Art presents 'WE ARE ME — We Never Just Pass By', featuring Ryan Gander.

The exhibition reflects on the dialectical relationship between subjectivity and identity in the torrent of our image-sharing era. Transforming the conventional black- and white-cube formats of museum display and interpretation, the exhibition unfolds as a series of immersive scenes composed by the rhythmic works of participating artists. You are invited to enter, reflect, and respond—illuminating the open exchange between artist and audience in the streaming world of memes.

'WE ARE ME' employs the mirror metaphor of overlapping subjectivities to outline an ongoing dynamic. Through works by artists from Taiwan and abroad, the exhibition reconfigures the images, objects, languages, and symbols that shape us, guiding you through magnifications and compressions of online experience, the hybrid histories embedded in image circulation, and the oscillation between passive and active forms of embodied encounter. It further explores the emergent corporeality and narratives generated by AI technologies, while prompting us to confront the systems of technological surveillance and capital circulation that underlie digital development. The conveniences we take for granted fundamentally alter how our “existence” is experienced and perceived.
