Informed by Haroon Mirza 's evolving practice, Technoshamanism in the Age of AI is a series of lectures and exchanges exploring hybrid forms of engagement between the spiritual, the psychedelic, and the technological. Mirza's installations often incorporate synthetic sound, light, electrical circuits, erratic stones, and living flora to create immersive environments that question our relationship with states of consciousness and our communion with both natural and artificial elements. This symbiosis frequently evokes the sense of ceremony or ritual. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in daily life, Mirza speculates on whether machines, code, scripts, geometries, and algorithms might also partake in a shared, perhaps divine, experience.

Haroon Mirza is a multimedia artist renowned for sculptural installations that orchestrate light, electricity, and electronics into immersive audio-visual experiences. His practice spans circuit-based sound compositions and interactive environments, testing perceptual boundaries between noise, music, and visual form. Haroon's work has earned international acclaim, including the Silver Lion for Most Promising Artist at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011), the DAIWA Foundation Art Prize (2012), Zurich Art Prize (2013), Nam June Paik Art Center Prize (2014), and the Calder Prize (2015).

The online workshop starts on 24 November 24 and ends on 28 November.
