Tatsuo Miyajima opens at Santa Barbara Museum of Art

Opening in December, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art will present the first solo U.S. museum exhibition of Tatsuo Miyajima’s art in over two decades. The immersive presentation includes four light-based works, and embodies the artist’s career-long philosophy: Keep Changing, Connect with Everything, Continue Forever. Reflecting millennia-old precepts found in his Buddhist practice, Miyajima ingeniously creates silent, vividly glowing objects and installations from today’s industrially-produced LED numbers and computer technologies that evoke profound and infinite worlds of being, space, and time.
