Online event: performances and book launch for This Means Love, by Laure Prouvost and friends
11 June 2021
Lisson Gallery and Van Abbemuseum kindly invite you to join Laure Prouvost and friends for a book launch and live reading of: This Means Love
Friday 11 June
6pm CEST / 5pm BST
As an attempt to rediscover the basics of human connection in these isolated times, French artist Laure Prouvost has developed a new ideographic language called ‘Legsicon’ and compiled this into a new book, This Means Love.
Learn this new visual dialect live through this informative webinar, using Prouvost’s Re-dit-en-un-in-learning method, test your grasp of this 'legsicon' and hear readings of short stories written by Dodie Bellamy, Paul Buck, Maxine Kopsa and Dana Munro.
Hosted by Ossian Ward of Lisson Gallery and Yolande Zola Zoli van der Heide of Van Abbemuseum
Register for the online Zoom webinar here
The book will be available online at our shop for the special price of $18 / £15 / €15.
This Means Love is published on the occasion of the exhibitions, Re-dit-en-un-in-learning CENTER at Lisson Gallery, London (6 October – 7 November 2020), and Swallowing breathing caring on the commons in our trapped love landscape excited to be with you, now newly extended as part of Positions 6: Bodywork at Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven (28 November 2020 – 26 September 2021).
