Lisson Gallery is a member of the Gallery Climate Coalition
10 April 2025
Lisson Gallery is a founding [and active] member of the Gallery Climate Coalition. We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions and waste in line with the GCC's key goal to facilitate a reduction of the sector’s CO2e emissions by a minimum of 50% by 2030. This is in line with the Paris Climate Agreement’s goal of keeping global warming to below 1.5°C.
As a business, Lisson is taking action to adopt and develop strategies that draw awareness to, and actively reduce, our emissions and promote zero-waste policies. We conduct annual carbon audits using the GCC carbon calculator; regularly review working procedures across the gallery's international locations to improve carbon data logging; donate to essential climate funds; and elect to work with suppliers that are engaged in sustainable practices.
We believe that the art world has a vital role to play, not only in taking steps to reduce exploitation of resources, but also by using the influence of its voice and platform to encourage change and action. Alongside our friends and colleagues in the cultural sector, together we can steer a shift in individual mindset and public debate.
