Lisson Gallery at London Gallery Weekend 2023
22 May 2023
Lisson Gallery is pleased to once again participate in London Gallery Weekend, taking place from 2–4 June across the city.
LGW is the world’s largest event of its kind, taking place over three days with a focus on a different area of London. An extensive programme scheduled by galleries specially for the weekend includes free talks, family workshops and special events, with extended opening hours.
On LGW's Central & West London day on Friday 2 June, Lisson's Bell Street gallery will host two events:
3:30pm: Cory Arcangel and Dr. Omar Kholeif on Internet_Art, and other things
In this intimate dialogue, Dr Omar Kholeif discusses the impact of Cory Arcangel’s practice on their own work over the last two decades. They will also discuss some of Arcangel’s recent artistic endeavours and consider the influence of the internet on shaping artistic practices today. The event will be followed by a book signing of Dr Omar Kholeif's latest publication 'Internet_Art: From the Birth of the Web to the Rise of NFTs'.
RSVP via London Gallery Weekend. Find further information here.
6pm: 'What You Will Watch and Hear', an evening of performance with Musarc
Musarc choir will perform scores by artist/composers Jenna Sutela and Amina Abbas-Nazeri, within and activating the group exhibition 'Matter as Actor'.
