A selection of the exciting exhibitions this Spring featuring Lisson Gallery artists, from Ai Weiwei's major retrospective at MMCA in Seoul, to film works by John Akomfrah and Garrett Bradley in 'Family' at Art Gallery of New South Wales, and Hugh Hayden's Madison Square Park installation 'Brier Patch'.
'Family: Visions of a Shared Humanity' at Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australia,

Akomfrah's Tropikos (2016) and Bradley's America (2019) are presented in this group show investigating the interconnectedness of humanity at a moment of division.
'Lee Ufan: Requiem' at the Alyscamps necropolys, Arles, France

'Ai Weiwei: The Liberty of Doubt' at Kettle's Yard, Cambridge, UK
The exhibition will explore notions of truth, authenticity and value, as well as globalisation, the coronavirus pandemic and the current geopolitical crisis, where the artist's new and existing work will be shown alongside historic Chinese objects.

The artist's most ambitious installation takes form as one hundred elementary school-style desks, the surfaces and seats of which will erupt with tree branches, ultimately cohering into one tangled assembly.
'Ai Weiwei: Defend the Future' at MMCA Seoul, South Korea
This major retrospective is dedicated to the artist's numerous artworks on the themes of freedom of expression and the lives of refugees, its Korean title literally translating to "The Future of Humans".
