'Laure Prouvost: We Felt A Star Dying' at OGR Torino, Italy

23 September 2025

From 31 October 2025 – 10 May 2026, OGR Torino presents WE FELT A STAR DYING by Laure Prouvost and the exhibition ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, two exhibitions that intertwine artistic research and technological innovation.

WE FELT A STAR DYING by Laure Prouvost, commissioned by LAS Art Foundation and co-commissioned by OGR Torino, and ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, organized by Tate Modern and OGR Torino, explore the relationship between creativity and technology from different yet complementary perspectives. Together, the two exhibitions trace a timeline from the pioneering artistic experiments of the late 20th century to today’s explorations of quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

Laure Prouvost's WE FELT A STAR DYING, curated for LAS was first presented in February 2025 at Kraftwerk in Berlin. The installation, the result of a collaboration between the artist, philosopher Tobias Rees, and scientist Hartmut Neven, founder of Google Quantum AI, explores quantum computing through a multisensory experience of images, sounds, and scents.

This exhibition at OGR Torino spans over forty years of artistic experimentation at the intersection of visual art and technology, in the era before the widespread adoption of the Internet. It showcases the work of artists who explored technological modernity by appropriating tools originally developed in military or corporate contexts, using them to redefine collective imagery and provoke critical thought.
