Now launched: Lisson Gallery's online bookshop
24 February 2021
Visit Lisson Gallery's new online shop which goes live today, in advance of the first Printed Matter Virtual Art Book Fair (PMVABF). Lisson Gallery is committed to providing its artists with the opportunity to produce high-quality presentations in print. The gallery’s publishing arm produces between 10 and 15 publications per year. Working closely with artists on a project basis, these range from exhibition catalogues and facsimiles of sketchbooks, to smaller booklets, leaflets and other printed matter. In 2021 the gallery is publishing on a survey of Carmen Herrera’s sculptural work, Estructuras; the New York lockdown paintings of Liu Xiaodong, a book of fiction written in Laure Prouvost's new language 'Legsicon,' as well as new catalogues for exhibitions by Sean Scully, Hélio Oiticica and Hugh Hayden.
To launch the shop a series of original, first-run books from the 1960s onwards are available for the first time. To coincide with the presentation on PMVABF, we are selling early artist books by Sol LeWitt, Stephen Willats and Robert Mangold. The gallery’s landmark 50th anniversary publication from 2017, ARTIST | WORK | LISSON, is also available to buy. This A-to-Z of all the artists to have had solo exhibitions and all of the 500+ shows staged by Lisson also includes correspondence, invitation cards, photographs, as well as notable reviews and essays by many of the art world’s best writers. Published under the art direction of Dutch designer Irma Boom, this landmark 1,200-page publication is accompanied by a number of limited-edition versions of the book, with a range of handmade, hand-painted or digitally printed covers by more than half of the gallery’s artists, to be re-released on the shop in the coming months.
While our London galleries remain closed due to coronavirus restrictions, please note that all orders are currently shipping from New York.
