Jennifer Allora guest speaker at Verbier Art Summit
31 January 2020
Jennifer Allora will speak at the Verbier Art Summit, taking place this weekend in Verbier, Switzerland. This year’s summit takes as its theme the title ‘Resource Hungry: Our Cultured Landscape and its Ecological Impact’, and brings together a group of artists, curators, academics and engineers to discuss how to envisage a way forward in finding harmony between art, ecology and resources.
The speakers will meet to consider questions raised around resources, land and culture and exploration of a variety of subjects ranging from the history of land art and work made in and about the landscape, to resources consumed by art and institutions and the future of art in the context of an ecological crisis. An events programme including film screenings, workshops, musical performances, interactive experiences, and guided tours accompanies the talks.
Jennifer Allora will be speaking on Saturday 1 February from 16:50. Free tickets are available via the Verbier Art Summit website.
