From 5 August to 22 October 2023, the Verbier 3-D Foundation presents new work by London-based artists-in-residence Haroon Mirza and Helga Dorothea Fannon.

The artists were invited for a research-led residency in Verbier to become immersed in the local environment and mythologies of the region, while responding to current global debates around the topics of water and energy. Across two distinct locations, visitors are invited to navigate the natural environment in a dynamic exchange that elevates our awareness and enriches our understanding of the surrounding landscape.

Visitors first become enveloped in a mesmerizing Visual Poetry Walk – made up of nine film segments crafted by Helga Dorothea Fannon and audio by Haroon Mirza – and become active participants through the incorporation of QR codes, navigating the interplay between video, image, text and space. The walk serves as a window into the artists’ creative process and their personal environment, reserach and the transformative power of the residency experience. The remaining site invites visitors to the Verbier 3-D Foundation Sculpture Park to encounter a new installation by Haroon Mirza that seamlessly blends nature, light, and water into a mesmerizing sensory experience.

A vernissage of the presentation will take place on 5 August from 10am – 4pm, where a walkthrough with the artists will be followed by refreshments and discussion.
