Gerard Byrne: A Late Evening in the Future in St Gallen

6 June 2015

The Kunstmuseum St.Gallen presents the first major solo exhibition of Gerard Byrne's practice in Switzerland, entitled A Late Evening in the Future. The exhibition title alludes to the various temporal levels that meet in Byrne's complex multimedia installations to constitute the present. A Late Evening in the Future (6 June – 13 September 2015) presents a selection of seminal works including A Man and a Woman Make Love, New Sexual Lifestyles, 1984 and beyond and Why It's Time for Imperial, Again (2002).
