‘Cory Arcangel: Selected Single Channel Videos’ at Institut national d'histoire de l'art, Paris, 1 October
29 September 2025
On Wednesday 1 October 2025, a discussion and screening of videos by Cory Arcangel, a leading figure in "post-Internet" artistic practices, will take place at Institut national d'histoire de l'art. His works intersect the traditions of conceptual art and experimental music, through the prism of mass media technologies and pop culture.
This session is part of Cory Arcangel's performance series Selected Single Channel Videos, featuring screenings of works created by the artist throughout his career. Organized to mark the entry of Data Diaries (2003) into the Musée National d'Art Moderne's collection, the event starts with this 2003 work, in which the artist uses the contents of his computer's random access memory (RAM) as the raw material for a series of abstract videos. Drawing on this form of abstract autobiography, this session explores Cory Arcangel’s relationship with digital data, its accessibility, and its manipulation, spanning two decades of artistic creation.
