Ceal Floyer at Kunstmuseum Bonn
19 October 2015
Berlin-based artist Ceal Floyer will present new and recent works in a significant exhibition at Kunstmuseum Bonn in Germany, opening on 29 October 2015 until 10 January 2016.
Using every day objects, Floyer questions habitual patterns of perception and highlights the unexpected gaps between the visible and invisible and between language and reality. Curated by Dr. Volker Adolphs and Dr. Stefan Gronert, the exhibition demonstrates how Floyer's work generates productive irritations, illusions and delusions, which with their own logic, incite an open process of seeing and new ways of thinking.
The exhibition has been developed in collaboration with the Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau and will be accompanied by a publication that for the first time presents a survey of Floyer's oeuvre, featuring texts by Mark Godfrey, Tacita Dean, and Sergei Edelzstein.
