Auction to raise funds for Hospital Rooms

A forthcoming online auction featuring the work of Anish Kapoor, Julian Opie and Richard Wentworth, among many others, will take place on Thursday 24 September 2020 in aid of Hospital Rooms, a charity formed to bring extraordinary art to mental health patients, among other vulnerable and marginalised members of society.

This year's fundraising auction includes works by leading contemporary artists – with works such as Wentworth's photographic print One Day in July (2020), Kapoor's untitled etching of 2015 and and Opie's acrylic relief Man Bun (detail illustrated above, 2020). Bidding in the silent and live auction will take place through a digital auction hub from Wednesday 16 September, with the live auction streamed on Zoom from 6:30pm on Thursday 24 September. All the proceeds raised this year will help to grow the Hospital Rooms Digital Art School; a new network of digital artist-led workshops for inpatient mental health units across the UK.
