Lisson Gallery Shanghai reopening

Lisson Gallery Shanghai reopening

We’re pleased to announce that our Shanghai gallery has reopened to the public. The presentation focuses on a selection of work by four seminal Lisson Gallery artists: Richard Long, Julian Opie, Christopher Le Brun and Jason Martin.

Two group portraits by Julian Opie, one computer animation and one static LED work, fill the gallery with a renewed sense of vibrancy, movement, colour and life. Richard Long's photograph and handwritten text, Footpath waterline - A thirteen day walk in the Sierra Tarahumara, recall his travels to Mexico in 1987, alongside his gestural, hand-created clay on linen work, Untitled (2018). Alongside this, the twinned oil on canvas, Ghost (2019) by Christopher Le Brun faces Jason Martin's luscious, textured painting, Verdade (2013).
